Take your plain language to the next level

Writing for Understanding Level 2 is an intensive workshop-based course designed to build on what you learned in level 1. Learn more about this training.   

This course uses a mix of independent work and live Virtual classes to give participants significant time to practice and apply plain language strategies in a supportive setting. By the end of this course, participants will not only feel confident applying plain language strategies to their own work, but also have the tools to provide feedback to others and support plain language initiatives within their organization.

When + Where

We'll meet 3 times on Zoom:

Session 1: Thursday, July 30 from 2-4 pm CT

Session 2: Thursday, August 13 from 2-4 pm CT

Session 3: Thursday, August 27 from 2-4 pm CT

You will receive a link to the self-paced pre-work and a Zoom link for all three sessions after you complete your registration.

Training Cost

We have sliding scale options for this training, ranging from $75 to $450. We want you to attend this training, so choose what’s best for your situation.

We strive to make Writing for Understanding Level 2 as inclusive as possible. We run all training materials through accessibility checkers and share content in advance. We use auto-generated Zoom captions in virtual trainings. Each session includes a 5-10 minute break.
