I've been honored to serve as the President of Literacy Works' Board for the past several years. I continue to be blown away by how much this small but mighty team accomplishes each year. Their work bolstering adult literacy and clear language is critical in providing access the information that all people need to fully enagage in our community. Literacy Works is on a mission to raise $35,000 during our Week of Giving! From April 28th - May 2nd, 2025, we will be highlighting the many ways that our community advances adult education and communication equity. Your gift will support our programs and vision that, one day literacy will be recognized as a basic human right, uplifting people along their journey to read, write, and interpret the world. We will cap off our campaign with our signature event, A Book That Changed My Life, at Sketchbook Brewery in Skokie on Friday, May 2nd!
