Admission

Description
Trauma-Informed Teaching has become a big interest to adult educators and we, at Literacy Works, are so happy to see it popping up in conversation more often.
In this training, we will talk about trauma-informed teaching but we will focus the majority of the time learning about building a general trauma-informed practice regardless of our role.
Attendees will learn about creating safe and welcoming spaces for learners, but also tutors and staff members. We will discuss the basic of trauma-informed care and how it applies to our work in adult education. Attendees will have a chance to reflect on their own practices and brainstorm some next steps.
This training is part of our Student Support training series. These trainings are designed with everyone in mind as they cover topics that affect everyone connected to adult education.
