Building Volunteer Communities

If you're sick of recruiting volunteers to your program and wish that your volunteers would stay longer, we have some ideas for you! Join us for practical and doable techniques for helping volunteers to continue to invest their time in this work.

Many volunteers are feeling isolated in the virtual space and have little connection to the work or the organization. Without that link to the mission, volunteers leave. Without taking this into consideration, we're doomed to constant recruitment.

In this training, we'll discuss the principles of volunteer sustainability and then we'll spend time learning about building community among volunteers. We'll share tips for creating an empowering space for volunteers without adding too much more to your plate.
